The famous traitors is a nine-part reality television series based on the global megahit The traitors – but with famous faces – and premieres on October 8, 2025. Hosted by Claudia Winkleman (with honorable mentions to Strictly the co-host’s gorgeous bangs and fingerless gloves), is the ultimate game of deception, betrayal and (often misplaced) trust.

The rules of the psychological game format are relatively simple. A group of strangers gather in a castle (Ardross Castle in Scotland, if you’re interested) and divide into Faithful and Traitors: the latter murder the former every night, the former must eliminate those they believe to be the latter. At the end there is a cash pot, shared equally, unless some Traitor remains and takes everything.
In the all-star celebrity remake, 19 famous faces from UK TV, music, comedy and sport compete for the £100,000 prize for their chosen charity. Unlike some ‘sleb derivatives, there are also plenty of big names: award-winning singer-songwriter Paloma Faith, Olympian Tom Daley, TV presenter Jonathan Ross and historian David Olusoga, to name just a few.
