PTI senators ask for the resignation of the vice president

ISLAMABAD:

Thursday’s Senate session witnessed chaos and strong protests by PTI lawmakers demanding the resignation of Vice President Syedaal Khan Nasar, disrupting proceedings and preventing the day’s agenda from being completed.

The session, chaired by the Vice President, began with a fateful remembrance of the soldiers martyred in the operation against Indian-sponsored terrorists in Orakzai.

However, tensions erupted soon after PTI senator Humayun Khan Mohmand took the floor and declared that he had “no confidence” in the presidency. “As acting president, he has lost our trust. He should resign,” Mohmand demanded.

Following his comments, PTI senators started chanting slogans, including “Syedal Nasir resign!” and “Come on, Syedal Nasir, come on!” They banged on desks and surrounded chairs in protest.

PPP senators were absent and continued their boycott in protest against recent comments made by the Punjab CM against their party.
