Anker’s new Nebula portable projector has removable wireless speakers, all in a smart lunchbox-like design

  • Twin 10W Bluetooth Speakers with 20h Battery
  • 1080p resolution, 180 inches, 650 ANSI lumens
  • $799 (around £600 / AU$1,219), launch discount available

Anker’s new Nebula P1 projector solves an irritating problem with the built-in speakers of portable projectors: the best place to put the projector isn’t always the best place to have speakers, especially if you’re projecting from a distance.

Here’s how the Nebula P1 solves that: Its two 10W speakers are detachable, and because they use Bluetooth, there’s no need to run any cables anywhere. They run on batteries and have a listening time of 20 hours, although the projector itself runs on mains electricity. Anker recommends its SOLIX power station if you want to disconnect the P1 from the grid.

This isn’t the first Anker projector we’ve seen with pop-up speakers – the X1 Pro has them too. But the P1 is considerably more affordable, with a US price of $799 (around £600 / AU$1,219) before early bird discounts. The X1 Pro costs over $4K.
