- Another triple rumor emerges about the Samsung Galaxy
- The phone “may” already be sold in international markets
- We could see an official launch in the coming weeks
Good news if you’ve been hoping to get your hands on Samsung’s long-awaited tri-folding phone: the latest rumor about the device that was first teased back in January is that it could be available globally, like most of Samsung’s best phones before it.
This comes from sources in contact with SamMobile and contradicts previous rumors that suggested this phone would be limited to South Korea and China, similar to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition last year.
We shouldn’t get too excited about the news just yet, though: SamMobile says the phone will go on sale in the United Arab Emirates, as well as China and South Korea, and that other countries (including the US and UK) “could” see a launch.
It seems then that there is still some uncertainty about how many markets this triple will be available in, perhaps even within Samsung. An official presentation is expected to occur in the coming weeks.
long time to come
Samsung showed off the triple at its Unpacked event for the Galaxy S25 phones in January, and Samsung has stated several times that the foldable will break at some point during 2025, of which we’re quickly reaching the late stages.
While not much else has been said officially, rumors point to the phone being powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and there has also been talk of 16GB of RAM and a titanium frame in recent months.
According to leaks, the hinges and speakers could be borrowed from the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, although there have also been hints of a 10-inch main display and rather disappointing charging specs.
All signs point to a premium phone with a premium price, and while this isn’t confirmation that we’re getting a full global launch for the triple, it’s at least more encouraging than previous rumors of limited availability.
