A 4.7 magnitude earthquake struck near Sibi city in Balochistan, causing panic among residents.

The tremors, with an epicenter located 22 kilometers southeast of Sibi and at a depth of 18 kilometers, affected surrounding areas, Express News reported.

Local reports indicate that when the earthquake struck, people ran from their homes, fearful of possible aftershocks.

Many prayed in panic, but fortunately so far no victims have been reported.

While authorities are assessing the situation, there have been no immediate reports of significant damage or loss of life.

Residents of the affected area have expressed relief, although the tremors served as a reminder of the region’s vulnerability to seismic activity.

Last month, an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale shook Islamabad, Peshawar and several other districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The tremors were strongly felt in Peshawar, Swat, Abbottabad, Malakand and Buner, including Islamabad.

The earthquake was also felt in Mohmand, Charsadda and Attock districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

The epicenter was located in the border region between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, at a depth of 220 kilometers, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Center in Islamabad.

However, there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

The tremors caused panic among residents, who quickly evacuated their homes and offices, reciting prayers as they moved to safety.
