The CSS exam, which consists of 12 subjects (six compulsory and six optional), poses a significant challenge to candidates. Many struggle with time management during preparation, leading to poor performance in certain subjects. While the FPSC provides a systematic syllabus and recommended reading materials, candidates often rely on local publications, which can hinder the development of analytical reasoning skills necessary to succeed in the exam.
