Latest iOS 26.1 beta reveals 3 more features coming to iPhones, including rebranded Apple TV app

  • The third beta of iOS 26.1 is now available
  • Includes a redesigned app icon for Apple TV, to accompany its rebranding.
  • There are also signs that more third-party AI integrations could be coming soon and there’s a new local capture settings screen.

The upcoming beta for iOS 26.1 has arrived, and while it doesn’t include many changes from the previous beta, there are three notable tweaks.

First of all, as discovered by 9to5Mac, the Apple TV app has a new logo, which has a little more color than the old one. That in itself may not seem very notable, but it’s part of Apple’s recently announced rebranding of the service, which is now called simply Apple TV instead of Apple TV+, and which Apple says has “a vibrant new identity.”

Presumably, that vibrancy will eventually extend beyond having a more colorful app icon, but for now, that’s all we’ve got.
