Kristen Stewart’s directorial debut The chronology of water is among the titles scheduled for Thessaloniki Film Forward Competitionas reported by Deadline.

In a resurfaced report, Kristen Stewart offered insight into this project.

Speaking to Porter, the 34-year-old actress revealed that the film “is about incest and menstruation and a woman violently taking back her voice and her body, and it’s hard to watch at times… but it’s going to be a tremendously exciting ride.”

“I think people would want to see that, but then… I think maybe people want to see movies about Jesus and dogs,” he added.

When the acting sensation was asked how she felt about stepping into a director’s shoes, she responded, “It’s a self-conscious thing to talk about because it’s hard to do anything.”

Notably, the film is an adaptation of Lidia Yuknavitch’s 2011 memoirs.

“I think it’s good that, as I’ve gotten older, I prefer to adapt my experiences to results-oriented goals, instead of just saying ‘This is going to make me feel good right now,'” the actress concluded at the time.
