RAWALPINDI:
Expressing grave concern over irresponsible statements by Indian military leaders under immense political pressure, the Pakistan Army warned that “every act of aggression will be met with a swift, determined and intense response” that will be remembered by posterity.
The ISPR said in a statement that the Indian armed forces and their political masters must realize that the Pakistani people and their armed forces are fully capable and committed to defending every inch of the country’s territory with full determination.
“It has been noted with grave concern that five months after Maarka-e-Haq, in the run-up to elections in Bihar and West Bengal, Indian military leaders have started parroting the same delusional, fabricated and provocative propaganda that they regurgitate before every state election in India,” he said.
“It is sad to see the military leaders of a nuclear-armed country issuing irresponsible statements under immense political pressure. The lies being broadcast to the Indian public and international audience have turned the Indian military machinery into a laughing stock,” he continued.
“Any professional soldier would know that unnecessary chest-beating and unjustified statements could start a cycle of jingoism and lead to serious consequences for peace and stability in South Asia,” the statement added.
The statement notes that the contradictions in the Indian Army press are so evident that they should not be dignified with a response. “Evidently, the Indian leadership is trying to mold history to their liking by inventing outlandish Bollywood-style scripts,” he said.
“It seems that the Indian army and political leaders have not been able to reconcile themselves to the idea that they have been decisively defeated in Marka-e-Haq and that their falsehoods have been fully exposed.”
