Glen Schofield, the creator of the original dead spacehas expressed interest in making another dead space game, revealing that he even went to EA with ideas, but he wasn’t interested.
In an interview with IGN at the Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show, Schofield talked about the future of the sci-fi horror series and shared his desire to make Dead space 4. He explained that he presented his ideas to EA, but was ultimately rejected.
“I went to [EA] Recently and they said no, we’re not interested anymore,” Schofield said. “I said, I can get the leadership team back. I need the EA Motive models [the team behind the Dead Space remake]and I can save you between 30 and 40 million dollars with the idea I have. And they say, ‘no.'”
Schofield worked as an executive producer at EA Redwood Shores in 2008, where he helped create Dead Space, before later creating Dead Space. The Callisto protocol in his own company, which he founded, Striking Distance Studios.
He left Striking Distance Studios at the end of 2023 after the game was released and is currently the director of Pinstripe Games. The developer hasn’t announced any games in the works yet, but Schofield seems hopeful that it will one day get to work on another. dead space game.

Schofield is referring to the recent acquisition of EA by a consortium of investors consisting of PIF, Silver Lake and Affinity Partners for $55 billion.
