ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan needed to increase its bandwidth capacity to cope with the increased use of virtual private networks (VPNs), the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said in a report to the Ministry of Information Technology on Friday.
According to sources, the PTA has completed its investigation into the slow internet issue. They said the report details problems found in networks by telecommunications operators.
Sources said some telecom companies faced issues related to social media and web browsing, adding that
X blocking was also a problem.
