Meghan Markle is reportedly hoping to receive a wedding invitation from Taylor Swift after the release of her second season of Love, Meghan was overshadowed by the pop star’s engagement announcement.
Sources claimed the Duchess of Sussex was “furious” over the news of Swift’s fairytale engagement, as the “biggest celebrity news of the year” “overshadowed” Meghan’s Netflix show after both things happened on the same day, August 26, via radaronline.com.
“She had been working for months to relaunch herself as the queen of lifestyle and empowerment, and then Taylor casually drops the biggest celebrity news story of the year,” a source told the outlet.
“Meghan was furious behind closed doors that the singer had ‘stolen’ her headlines, but she still liked Taylor’s post to look classy. It was through gritted teeth, for sure.”
Plus, Meghan is “desperate” to be at Swift’s wedding as “this is the kind of event that cements your place in the A-list hierarchy.”
