Princess Beatrice puts on a brave face as she hides to help her parents.
The mother-of-two was seen driving to the Royal Lodge to meet her maligned father Prince Andrew and was visibly seen with a “poker” face.
Speaking to The Mirror, body language expert Judi James said: “With what appears to be a make-up-free face and her hair scruffy in a casual, shabby bun on top of her head, Beatrice might superficially appear to be indicating some distress here, as if she’s dropped everything to drive to see and support her mum, dad or both, or simply to discuss her current circumstances.
“Given the fact that Andrew is front-page news right now, there was presumably a much larger crowd of photographers waiting to photograph her when she ‘broke the cover,’ but her reaction in this photo seems counterintuitive. Instead of adopting tense body language, Beatrice seems to have strayed from the idea of a serious, solemn, concerned expression or a more stately, stoic poker face here.”
And he added: “His mouth is wide open and he seems to have a wide, radiant smile with his teeth exposed. The smile also seems to be present in the expression of his eyes, which are shaped like a half-moon.”
Judi continued: “This choice of facial expression could be a stab at bravery. Making a wide smile while driving alone and in the current circumstances, with all the possibly unwanted attention, would usually suggest a desire to adopt a deliberately projected air of resilience and the rather exaggerated and exaggerated nature of this smile could confirm that thought.”
