Prince Andrew’s decision to renounce his titles does not appear to have the desired effect on the public.
Former royal photographer Ian Pelham Turner is the expert who pointed this out, amid a series of calls for more punishments, as well as local politicians taking action for Parliament to take action.
He wrote it all down in detail, during a talk with FoxNewsDigital.
In that conversation, he first explained: “There is a rule in royal circles, if a disturbing event lasts more than seven days, additional measures must be taken to quell the associated negativity.”
So while “no doubt the royals hoped that Andrew voluntarily removing his titles would be punishment enough,” Turner added, “more and more people are asking for blood from politicians seeking a legal solution to the removal of titles.”
Especially with “the Metropolitan Police investigating allegations of attempting to use its security staff to set up any scandal involving Guiffre and the fact that he should still be allowed to live in luxury at the 30-bedroom Royal Lodge in Windsor.”
For those unfamiliar with Prince Andrew’s decision, he announced his decision to renounce his titles in an official statement from Buckingham Palace.
According to him, the prince not only reaffirmed his decision not to return to royal life, but also defended his innocence.

The statement reads: “In discussions with the King and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded that the continued allegations about me distract from the work of Her Majesty and the Royal Family. I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and my country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to step back from public life.”
“With Your Majesty’s agreement, we feel that I must now take a further step. Therefore, I will no longer use my title or the honors conferred upon me. As I have said previously, I strongly deny the allegations against me.”
Regarding the calls made to Parliament, yesterday the guardian reported that the SNP’s Westminster leader, Stephen Flynn, believes that “if the Westminster parties remain stubbornly slow to remove Prince Andrew’s titles, the SNP will do all it can to force them to act.”
“Prince Andrew’s titles can only be removed by an Act of Parliament. Therefore, this SNP motion is a way of putting pressure on the UK Labor government to bring forward such legislation immediately.”
“The only real question is what Keir Starmer’s government is waiting for. The public knows this is the right thing to do and, even more importantly, the victims at the center of the Epstein scandal know it is the right thing to do. It needs to be done without any more excuses or any more delays.”
