Optoma has launched a new 4K DLP projector that promises “stunning images and unmatched color accuracy.”
The new UHZ58LV projector is a dual-laser 4K UHD model that offers 3,000 lumens of peak brightness with HDR10+ and the company’s PureEngine Ultra image enhancement.
The projector offers 95% DCI-P3 color coverage and includes Filmmaker day/night and ISF modes to suit your personal preferences.
A big advantage of a dual laser light source is that it offers a long lifespan: in this case, about 30,000 hours.
Optoma UHZ58LV: key features and prices
The PureEngine system is designed to improve color output, contrast and image detail for what Optoma says is true-to-life color reproduction with excellent accuracy. This is complemented by PureMotion processing to eliminate vibration.
The specs are impressive even among the best projectors: screen sizes from 20 to 320 inches, 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and good connectivity.
There are three HDMI inputs, including one with eARC and one with HDMI 2.1; RJ45, RS232 and 12V trigger controls; and USB power, 3D sync, 3.5mm audio and S/PDIF outputs. The projector also features Dolby Atmos pass-through and is WiSA SoundSend certified for output to WiSA wireless speakers, which could certainly help with setup.
Gamers are well catered for, with low latency auto mode and 240Hz resolution at 1080p with 8.5ms input lag.
The Optoma UHZ58LV will be available starting this month, October 2025, and we’ve seen prices of $2,299 in the US and £1,999 in the UK. That is equivalent to approximately 3,531 Australian dollars.
