Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney accused President Donald Trump of being “afraid” to place a sports bet on the upcoming World Series between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

“I think he’s afraid to make a bet,” Carney joked to The Associated Press on Thursday. “He doesn’t like to lose. He hasn’t paid. He hasn’t paid me back yet, so I’m ready. We’re ready to make a bet with the United States.”

Carney predicted the Blue Jays would win in six games.

“The country is very excited. I think the world is excited about this series,” Carney said. “It’s going to be deep. It’s going to be a great series. But we have depth, we have fire. You can see the performance.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked whether Trump bets on sports during Thursday’s press briefing during a question about the FBI’s arrest of three NBA figures in a widespread investigation into illegal betting.

“You know. I’m not sure. I don’t think he will. I’ve been with him quite a while and I haven’t seen him gamble before,” Leavitt said. “I don’t think he’s a great player.”
