
Now, a star wars movie titled The hunt for Ben Solo It was presented to Disney executives, but did not get the green light.
Steven Soderbergh, director of the never-made film, is now writing about the project on the social media platform BlueSky.
“For the record, I didn’t enjoy lying about the existence of ‘THE HUNT FOR BEN SOLO,’ but it really had to remain a secret… until now!” he writes.
The filmmaker continues, “Also, after the ‘HFBS’ situation, I asked Kathy Kennedy if LFL had ever submitted a finished movie script for Disney to greenlight and had it rejected. She said no, that was the first time.”
Also, in a previous interview with APHe said: “I really enjoyed making the movie in my head. I’m just sorry that the fans won’t be able to see it.”
Steven’s post comes after Adam Driver, who was set to star in the film, previously revealed the existence of said project.
“We took it to Bob Iger and Alan Bergman, and they said no. They didn’t see how Ben Solo was alive. And that was it,” he told the news agency, adding that “the idea of the sequel was really great. It doesn’t exist anymore, so I can finally talk about it.”
