George Clooney just revealed that Hollywood stars “aren’t allowed to age.”

The 64-year-old actor plays fictional big-screen icon Jay Kelly in the upcoming Netflix film of the same name, and has reflected on the relationship between film fans and the stars they grow up watching.

he said Empire magazine: “You really live your life through actors and people’s photographs.”

“And you’re not allowed to grow old. I make people come [up to] Me all the time saying: ‘You’re much older than I thought.’ Like, fuck you! “I’m 64 years old!” he added hilariously.

Clooney also recalled a scene from the film in which his character observes his life on screen, and all the clips are from the actor’s other real-life roles over the years.

He said: “There’s this weird thing where the older you get, the more you look at these things and say, ‘Wow, that was a long time ago.’ From my point of view, it was a minute ago.”

“That’s why I love that line from the movie when [a fan of Jay Kelly] He says: ‘When I see you, I see my whole life,’” wolves the star added.

He continued, “I get it, man. I became friends with Gregory Peck and I felt that way.”

“I’d sit there with him, he’d tell me a story, and I’d just look at him thinking, ‘Dude, this guy is in To Kill a Mockingbird!’ You know where you were when you first saw The Omen. Roman Holiday,” concluded George Clooney.
