- The Nothing Phone 3a Lite will arrive on October 29
- It looks like it will be a cheaper version of the Nothing Phone 3a.
- This will be the first ‘Lite’ phone that Nothing has launched
It looks like Nothing isn’t done with smartphone launches for 2025 – the most recent phone we’ve seen from the device maker is the Nothing Phone 3 which launched in July, and now the Nothing Phone 3a Lite is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, October 29.
Nada announced the launch of the phone on social media and there is a brief teaser of the back of the phone. It looks like we’re getting some kind of notification light on the back cover, following in the footsteps of the glyph lights we’ve seen on previous Nothing phones.
Going by the name, we can expect a more affordable and less powerful version of the Nothing Phone 3a, which was launched alongside the Nothing Phone 3a Pro back in March. Both phones are powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset.
This is actually the first time Nothing has introduced a Lite-branded phone, although of course it’s also responsible for cheaper CMF-branded phones, including the CMF Phone 2 Pro that was introduced in April, yours for $279 / £249 / AU$509 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
How ‘light’ will it be?

The Nothing Phone 3a Lite was leaked earlier this month, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage mentioned, although no processor was specified. That sounds pretty good for a phone that’s likely to undercut the $379/£329/AU$599 starting price of the Nothing Phone 3a.
The Nothing Phone 3a is perhaps the best source of clues for the upcoming Nothing Phone 3a Lite. The existing phone has a 50MP+50MP+8MP triple-lens rear camera, offering 2x optical zoom, with a 32MP selfie camera on the front.
We may see a slightly lower camera setup on the Nothing Phone 3a Lite, and potentially a display downgrade too – the Nothing Phone 3a has a 6.77-inch, 1080 x 2392 pixel AMOLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
It will all be revealed in a couple of days and will bring the number of Nothing phones launched this year to four – the full announcement will be made at 1pm GMT, which is 6am PT / 9am ET, and midnight on Thursday, October 30 in Australia.
