ISLAMABAD:
Senate President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Wednesday described the Constitution as the supreme pact between the State and its people – a living embodiment of the national will that ensures unity, justice and accountability.
Speaking at the International Parliamentary Conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Baku, Gilani underlined the vital role of constitutions in safeguarding the independence and sovereignty of states.
Representing the Senate, the President conveyed cordial greetings from Parliament, the government and the people to the leaders and people of Azerbaijan.
