“He’s worse than Harry.”

Andrew is currently facing a fate that many consider even worse than that of Prince Harry.

Author and security expert Richard Aitch is the one who made this comment, in a chat with The mirror.

According to the expert, “it’s going to be a very complicated situation for both Andrew and the police to make a decision about what happens, because they have to tread very carefully considering what his response to Harry was. Now, Andrew is in an even worse situation than Harry at the moment.”

Because “when you consider that all former Prime Ministers who no longer serve the country continue to receive police protection at the expense of UK taxpayers until the day they die, one has to wonder, firstly, that Prince Harry is fifth in line to the throne and actually receives nothing in the UK, although [RAVEC] Let’s say case by case.”

“And then, on the other hand, how can the police realistically provide any level of security for Andrew, given that he is eighth in line to the throne and is worse off?” he wondered.

After all, in an incredibly public move “he has been stripped of his titles, stripped of his duties, although it was Harry’s decision not to participate in royal duties as such, the royal role has been stripped from Andrew; he cannot. And he is literally a civilian like everyone else in the UK, so in effect, based on that fact alone, he should not receive police protection.”

He also added: “I’m sure if you sat down with the RAVEC committee members and asked them ‘what will Andrew receive in terms of police protection? Is there any concern there?’ and so on, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they turned around and said exactly the same thing they do with Harry, to the extent that that would be on a case-by-case basis.”

However, the only way Andrew would receive protection appears to be “through a default setting, if Andrew were to appear at the same time.” [as the Firm’s members at events]He, in fact, would also receive a certain level of protection.”

However, that doesn’t mean they would leave him completely to his own devices, Mr Aitch said.

“I think Andrew will continue to receive oversight in terms of his protection because the repercussions involved if he, for example, were attacked walking down the street and it was fatal, the questions would still be asked: ‘what is going on here? Isn’t there a duty of care towards some member of the Royal Family, eighth in line, brother to the King for God’s sake, why aren’t we doing anything about it?’ And, of course, the last thing the Royal Family wants is another investigation into what is happening and who gets what,” he concluded.
