NYT Strands Today (Game #610): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game #610 are…
- WAS
- MARKET
- STAYED
- HOME
- ROAST
- BEEF
- NONE
- SPANGRAM: THIS LITTLE PIGGY
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
The longest spangram in a long time took up a good portion of the board and snaked its way from the center all the way down and to the right side.
However, the theme was obvious from the start, with WENT, MARKET, STAYED and HOME all stuck together like a baby’s toes.
The phrase “this little pig ate roast beef” has always baffled me. Would a little pig ever eat roast beef, even one wearing a shirt and tie and going to the market?
The truth, of course, is like many children’s songs rooted in the macabre and the little pig that went to the market went to the slaughterhouse and the little pig that ate roast beef was force-fed. No wonder they peed all the way home.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Sunday, November 2, Game #609)
- BEGIN
- PASSED
- FINISH
- CORRIDOR
- HYDRATION
- TIMEKEEPER
- SPANGRAM: MARATHON
