Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce celebrated his historic touchdown reception last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a nod to the legendary Tony Gonzalez.
Kelce dunked the ball between the posts like Gonzalez did during his career with the Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons. Kelce’s touchdown was the 77th of his career, passing Gonzalez on the all-time list.

But the celebration hurt his pocket more than anything else.
Kelce was fined $14,069 for “unsportsmanlike conduct and use of props,” according to multiple reports. Fortunately, it seemed that González knew the fine was coming.
“Haha! Gotcha,” González wrote on X, while praising the dunk.
Kelce hasn’t had the typical season Chiefs fans are used to seeing. He started incredibly slow and failed to make his first touchdown catch of the season until the Las Vegas Raiders game on October 27.

He has 97 receptions for 823 yards and three touchdowns this season. His receiving yardage total is his lowest since the 2014 season, his second year in the league. His touchdown total is the lowest of his career. He had four touchdown receptions in 2016.
Kelce was still chosen to the Pro Bowl thanks to fan support. It is the tenth selection of his career.
