Standing crops, fruit orchards and vehicles are damaged and power supply is disrupted across the district.
Heavy rain accompanied by hailstorm lashed Upper Dir and Swat districts in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, causing a sharp drop in temperature and causing widespread disruption.
In Dir, downpour and hailstorm brought darkness and caused flash flooding in streams, blocking traffic on GT Highway. Heavy rains caused erosion along roads in highland areas, leaving residents confined to their homes.
Standing crops, fruit orchards and vehicles were also damaged, while power supply was disrupted across the district due to the collapse of the power system amid the storm.
In Swat, heavy rain and hail also intensified the cold. In Mingora city, rising water levels in drains and streams highlighted the poor performance of the Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC), with blocked drains spilling water onto roads.

Residents faced hardship as rainwater flooded the streets. Meanwhile, lightning in Chakdara damaged the 132,000-volt transmission line, disrupting power supply in several areas.
According to WAPDA Swat officials, efforts are underway to restore electricity, but no timeline has been set for complete restoration.
