- The Google Pixel 10 is now selling at its lowest price in the US, marked down by $200
- This same reduction is not currently available in the UK or Australia.
- The Google Pixel 10 series as a whole is selling very well
The Google Pixel 10 is one of the best Android phones you can buy, and there’s never been a better time to do so, because right now it’s just $599 on Amazon in the US. That’s for a 128GB model and is a $200 reduction off the standard price.
Considering the Pixel 10 was only released in August, it’s a notable drop and is the cheapest price we’ve seen for the phone so far. Unfortunately, you won’t find the same discount in the UK or Australia, where the Pixel 10 is still selling for its full price of $799 / AU$1,349. Mind you, even at that price, it’s worth considering.
Our four-star Google Pixel 10 review praised its 6.3-inch, 120Hz OLED display, calling it “one of the best smartphone displays you’ll see,” and we were also big fans of its “crisp and colorful” interface, “stellar” design, and triple-lens camera, which includes a 48MP main sensor, a 13MP ultrawide, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens, which offers an optical zoom of 5x.
It sells well even without lowering the price.
It also seems like people have realized how good this phone (and the rest of the Google Pixel 10 series) is, as Counterpoint reports that sales of Google’s Pixel series were up 28% year-over-year in the US in September.
This represents a single-month sales record for Google phones, and that growth was primarily driven by the Pixel 10 series.
As Counterpoint points out, this was even more impressive since the iPhone 17 series launched in September, giving Google’s phones some serious competition.
Compared to other brands, this increase means that the Pixel line’s market share on Verizon for phones costing $600 or more increased from just 0.1% in September 2022 to 7% in September of this year. Similarly, it rose from 0.1% at T-Mobile to 6.5% in September.
Those numbers may not seem huge yet, but it’s a big improvement for Google, and since Samsung only has a 12% share of Verizon, it’s possible that, in a few years, Google could be second only to Apple in this market segment.
All of which makes it seem a little strange that the price of the Pixel 10 has dropped so much in such a short time, but perhaps this reduced price will help the brand maintain its sales momentum.
