PIA flight diverted to Karachi after mid-air bird strike

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-859, traveling from Lahore to Jeddah, was hit by a bird in mid-flight. As a result, the plane was diverted to Karachi Jinnah International Airport as a precautionary measure.

The collision with the bird has caused serious damage to the plane’s windshield. Repairs to the plane are expected to take about 12 hours.

According to sources, there were 344 passengers on board, all of whom have been transferred to a hotel.
