- DJI has announced a launch event for November 18
- We will almost certainly see the debut of the DJI Osmo Action 6
- The potential price of the action camera has also been leaked.
Things are moving fast when it comes to the DJI Osmo Action 6: DJI has released a teaser with a release date for the successor to the long-rumored DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, while the overall price of the action camera has also been leaked.
First, there’s the official trailer, with the tagline “square, make the movement concrete.” That’s pretty ambiguous, but we think it could refer to a square camera sensor, which, according to previous rumors, will likely be a larger 1/1.1-inch size on this new model (potentially the same as on the Osmo 360).
Less ambiguous is the release date and time of Tuesday, November 18, with events starting at 12pm GMT (i.e. 4am PT / 7am ET / 11pm AEDT). Of course, we will be ready and waiting to bring you announcements as they are made.
The teaser image focuses on the DJI Osmo Action 6’s main camera, and judging by the animation, it looks like we’re in line for a variable aperture this time around – the first time we’ll see one on an action camera, and also something that’s been previously rumored.

Now, moving on to the unofficial updates, and Dealabs (via Notebookcheck) believes the starting price in the US will be $379. That compares to $349 for the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro Standard Combo Bundle, although of course the details of the bundle may differ.
Pricing will be £329 in the UK and €379 in Europe, according to the same tipster, with the more extensive Adventure Combo package at $479 / £419 / €479; that’s a slight increase over the same package for the 2024 model camera.
This leak doesn’t mention Australian pricing, but the price of the DJI Osmo Action Pro 5 was AU$599 for the standard combo and AU$769 for the Adventure combo, so we can probably expect something similar or a little higher for the new model.
All indications are that this will be a pretty substantial update, making the Osmo Action 6 a contender for our list of the best action cameras you can buy, and in a couple of weeks everything will be official, even as a possible US ban on DJI looms.
