Miami-Dade County firefighters said the fire was reported around 4:36 a.m. Spoelstra arrived at the scene shortly after the plane landed. Cameras showed Spoelstra arriving at the house and looking distraught, according to WSVN-TV in Miami.

Firefighters initially focused on the garage of the multimillion-dollar home before flames began to spread across the property.

Neighbors told WSVN-TV that the house was being remodeled before it caught fire.

Authorities have yet to say what may have caused the inferno. Firefighters were battling the fire until mid-morning, but authorities said the fire was contained.

Property records show Spoelstra purchased the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home in December 2023. He agreed to a $120 million contract extension with the Heat in January 2024.
