- Spotify is gearing up for Wrapped by rolling out a new ‘Listening Stats’ tab that shows your top songs and artists from the past four weeks.
- Updated every 24 hours, your stats give you deeper insight into your streaming habits, as well as offering new recommendations.
- You’ll also get a “special highlight,” which could be anything from a milestone, a new discovery, or a tidbit about your listening habits.
Spotify Wrapped 2025 is upon us, and one of the best music streaming services has just offered the ideal warm-up for the music wrap-up event of the year: say hello to listening stats, which offer new insights into your weekly listening habits.
The new listening statistics feature, available now to free and premium users in more than 60 global markets, shows the top artists and songs from the last four weeks in the sidebar of your home page. Their statistics are updated every 24 hours and will offer new recommendations based on your listening behaviors.
In addition to being able to see your top artists and songs in real time, you’ll also find new playlists based on what you’ve been listening to recently. Spotify has also shared that each week you’ll get what it describes as a “special highlight,” which could be anything from a milestone, a new discovery, or a tidbit about your personal listening habits.
With Spotify Wrapped just a few weeks away, listening stats are setting the perfect mood for Spotify’s year-end wrap-up, which takes the internet by storm every December. Spotify has also shared that listening stats are not only designed to show you what you’ve been streaming the most, but also to bring you closer to the music you already love.
In its blog post announcing the new feature, Spotify says it’s “always finding new ways to get you closer to the music that moves you, making the sound personal. From playlists that match your mood to tracks that take you back in time, your story unfolds one song at a time, wherever you are,” adding that “it’s about exploring your unique musical taste and maybe discovering something new along the way, just like you do with Spotify Daylist, Release Radar, and Discover Weekly.”
At the moment you can’t see your listened minutes in the new statistics tab, but it’s still early. Spotify tends to develop new features over time, so it could be that Spotify is planning to add this at a later date; We’ve reached out to Spotify for more information and it says it will keep us informed of any feature updates.
