- Gaming hardware brand CRKD is teasing a new controller
- The battery controller will arrive in 2026
- A preview gives us a possible early look
Gaming hardware maker CRKD has shown off a new battery controller.
It is scheduled to launch in 2026, and there are very few details about the upcoming product, although a brief trailer and promotional image could give us an early idea.
Look
We can see something that looks a lot like the old battery from the game. rock bandwith four color-coded pads to simulate drums. This is in addition to three color-coded cymbals, plus a pedal on the right side.
The video thumbnail shows some CRKD brand wooden drumsticks, as well as some sort of control panel with buttons that are presumably used to help control or configure the kit.
There are no further details other than the fact that the controller will be released sometime in 2026. “You’ll have to wait a little longer for more details; our mouth is sealed,” the company wrote in a press release.
The brand has gradually established itself as a major player in the rhythm gaming controller niche, and recently launched a licensed Gibson Les Paul guitar controller, which we praise for its solid build quality, attractive design, and ease of use with major games like guitar hero.
Given the real lack of other battery controllers on the market currently, with most rock band For gamers who rely on old second-hand hardware from sites like eBay, I can see this new product being a big hit.
