- The first trailer of Avengers: Judgment Day could arrive in december
- A new report suggests it will be screened before public screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash
- Other rumors about the first teaser of the Marvel movie circulate on the internet
Marvel could give us an early Christmas present of 2025, with a new report suggesting it will release the first trailer for Avengers: Judgment Day next month.
In October I covered the news that DoomsdaThe first trailer for and would be released before the public screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash. This is the third entry in James Cameron’s multi-million-dollar sci-fi film franchise, set to be released on December 19.
More than a month after that initial rumor, a new report from Collider has indicated that the opening teaser for the next Avengers movie willpower be shown before Avatar 3. This is according to multiple sources Collider has spoken to, who also admitted that Disney and Marvel could change their mind about releasing a teaser between now and then.
I like that to be honest. Avatar in F4 and now Doomsday in Avatar 3 for a big marketing push. 💰💰💰But I heard some people might see it even sooner. something about a particular Sunday event in December🤷🏽♂️👀 https://t.co/KYVBga64X8November 6, 2025
December 19 may not be the first time an official first look at Avengers 5 However, it is shown to an audience. Industry insider Cryptic4KQual, who has a mixed track record when it comes to leaks, took to X/Twitter (see above) to inform his followers that some people might see the trailer during “a particular Sunday event in December.”
In my opinion, such an event could be one of two things. The first is the Brazil Comic-Con (CCXP), which will take place during the first weekend of next month. Marvel has had a presence at previous editions of CCXP and even made some big announcements at the convention, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if the trailer received its world premiere at this year’s convention.
However, Cryptic4KQual has stated that the trailer will not be shown at CCXP 2025. If true, the other option available to Disney and Marvel would be to hold a press-only event, show the trailer to a select group of US-based journalists, and hold a brief Q&A session afterwards with a view to allowing certain outlets to publish said Q&A at a later date.
But wait… there’s more. On the November 3, 2025 edition of The Kristian Harloff Show, the podcast’s titular host revealed what he had heard about the trailer.
I won’t reveal everything he said for spoiler reasons. However, according to Harloff’s source, Disney and Marvel had created different versions of the first Marvel Phase 6 movie trailer and are undecided on which one to use. Depending on what you’ve read online or heard secondhand from your fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans, then the version they’ve described to you might not be the trailer that was ultimately picked up and released.
Avengers: Judgment Day won’t hit theaters until December 18, 2026, so even if Disney/Marvel delay the release of its first trailer, there’s still plenty of time for the pair to build hype for what will be one of next year’s biggest new movies.
In the meantime, read what we know so far about Avengers: Judgment Day. Once you’re done, read the other big story about the MCU movie that arrived this week, in the form of a new Doomsday video that shows more links between Iron Man and Doctor Doom, and sheds another clue about their plot.
