Leighton Meester opened up about how her experiences shaped her latest screen role.
Speaking with People magazine, the Gossip Girl alum opened up about her latest role in the new HBO comedy, I Love LA.
Meester admitted, “I’ve been in a toxic work environment.”
He added: “I think a lot of people have experienced that, being around people who kind of… I don’t know, you just have a boss who maybe doesn’t encourage you, or whatever.”
The actress revealed that she found the show’s “chaotic” energy both relatable and fun to explore.
Notably, her co-star Josh Hutcherson, who also participated in the interview, expressed surprise at her confession, saying, “In this industry, has that ever happened to you?”
“I know. It’s shocking,” Meester noted.
