- FromSoftware parent company says Elden Ring Night Reign DLC is in the works
- It is scheduled to launch before the end of the fiscal year (March 2026).
- There are no details yet, but it could be revealed at The Game Awards next month.
Kadokawa, parent company of developer FromSoftware, has officially confirmed that downloadable content (DLC) for Elden Ring Night Reign is in development at the studio and could be released sooner than you think.
In its latest earnings report, Kadokawa provided a brief update on multiple ongoing projects at FromSoftware, resetting that The Duskbloods and Elden Ring Tarnished Edition will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. The former was a highlight of the first Switch 2 Direct presentation, while the latter received a significant delay until next year for “performance adjustments.”
Other than that, it looks like there will be more Elden Ring Night Reign goodness in the not-too-distant future: “FromSoftware is currently developing Elden Ring Night Reign DLC (planned for release in fiscal 2025),” reads a section of the earnings report.
We know that FromSoftware plans to complement Elden Ring Night Reign with post-launch content since it arrived in May. New modes and ways to play have been added via patches in recent months, but it looks like this upcoming DLC will be more significant; potentially even an expansion.
What’s important to note here is that the DLC is scheduled for the end of Kadokawa’s financial year, which would be March 31, 2026. As such, we can likely expect a significant increase. Elden Ring Night Reign Content will drop in the coming months.
Eager Nightfarers should look forward to The Game Awards, which will air live in about a month on December 11. night reign was officially revealed at last year’s event, so there’s a good chance an expansion will follow suit as part of this year’s announcements.
