An explosion occurred near the main gate of the G-11 Court House in Islamabad on Tuesday, prompting emergency measures at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital.
The hospital’s emergency services have been activated and the injured are being transported from the scene by Rescue 1122, ambulances and police vehicles. So far, more than 12 people have been admitted, including seriously injured people.

A large contingent of police personnel also reached the hospital, while Islamabad Inspector General of Police and Chief Commissioner visited the spot.
According to sources, the explosion occurred in a vehicle parked on the service road near the courthouse door. Police sources said three people who were near the vehicle were injured in the explosion.
Authorities are investigating the incident and security has been tightened in the surrounding area.
