Charlotte Jones, daughter of Jerry Jones, executive vice president and chief brand officer of the Dallas Cowboys, expressed her support for Bad Bunny performing at the Super Bowl LX halftime show.
The NFL’s selection of the Grammy Award-winning artist sparked backlash when it was announced due to his criticism of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents when the Trump administration began its crackdown on illegal immigration in the spring and summer.

Jones appeared on “The Katie Miller Podcast” on Tuesday and said it was “amazing” that Bad Bunny was performing in Santa Clara, California, for the biggest sporting event of the year and seemed unconcerned about her political comments.
“I think our Latin fan base is amazing. And I think when you think about the Super Bowl, you want the number one artist in the world to be there,” Jones said. “We’re on a global stage and we can never forget that. Our game is aimed at everyone around the world and to have the main artist want to be a part of our game, I think it’s amazing. We have a mixed culture. Our whole society is based on immigrants who came here and founded our country. I think we can celebrate that. I think the show is going to be amazing.”
“I don’t think our game is about politics,” Jones continued. “I don’t think people tune in to watch the politics. We do everything we can to avoid the politics. I think at that point people will be watching the game, they’ll be celebrating the music and no one will be thinking about the left-side commentary, the right-side commentary. It’s about bringing people together.”

Jones added that the Cowboys organization “has always felt strongly that politics should never come into our game,” adding that he wants the entire fan base to support the team and not just those who support one political faction.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell also stood firm about Bad Bunny’s selection, while Jay-Z downplayed criticism last month.
