- The TCL T7 series TV comes in 55, 65, 75 and 85 inches
- Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Dolby Atmos and 144Hz
- $599 to $1399
TCL has announced the T7 series of Google TVs, and they have surprisingly low prices: the 55-inch model starts at just $599.99 and the top 85-inch model is priced at a very low $1,399.99, and that’s list priceso imagine what will happen when the Black Friday deals arrive…
The price is particularly impressive if you look at the specifications. Each TV comes with a QLED display with variable refresh rate support and up to 144Hz on all but the smallest model (which can still hit 120Hz), so they could give some tough competition to the best gaming TVs if you’re on a budget.
TCL 7 Series: Key Features
The software here is Google TV, as usual from TCL, with support for Chromecast and AirPlay 2, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit, and the processor is TCL’s AIPQ PRO processor.
HDR support includes Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and there is support for Dolby Atmos. There are four HDMI ports, including an eARC, and gamer-friendly features include VRR and ALLM (although don’t expect all four ports to support them).
Not all specs have been announced yet (for example, we don’t know how bright the screens are) and we also don’t know the specific on-sale date.
But we’re very impressed with the TCL Series 6 TVs, which we describe as good for gaming and “a great option for everyone,” so if you’re looking for a mid-tier TV, the Series 7 may be worth waiting for, although we expect TCL’s Black Friday deals to ramp up soon, so keep an eye out for models like the TCL QM6K and TCL QM7K in the coming weeks.
The prices of each model are:
- 55″: $599.99
- 65″: $699.99
- 75″: $899.99
- 85″: $1,399.99
