KP CM denied meeting Imran for the sixth time

RAWALPINDI:

KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was again denied a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Thursday, marking the sixth time his request was rejected.

Last month, the IHC overruled objections raised by the registrar’s office to a petition filed by the KP chief minister seeking a meeting with the PTI founder.

Subsequently, the KP attorney general filed a contempt of court petition at the IHC for non-compliance with the court order directing authorities to allow Afridi to meet the jailed PTI leader.

On Thursday, Afridi reached Adiala Road but was stopped by the Rawalpindi police at the Gorakhpur check post.
