President Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai Trump made her LPGA Tour debut Thursday at The Annika in Belleair, Florida.
The 18-year-old shot 13-over 83, finishing last in the 108-player field. He bogeyed the first four holes and then finished the round birdie-free with nine bogeys and two double bogeys.
“I was definitely more nervous than I expected, but I thought I made a lot of good shots,” she said. “I made a lot of good shots in just the wrong places.”

Despite finishing last, the teenager called the experience “pretty cool.”
“It was great because I know I went far, but playing with the best players in the world and literally being there or even outperforming on some of the holes, it felt pretty good,” he said. “I felt like my game is in a good place, and especially being a high school senior.”

“I mean, he’s the best golfer in the world. I’d say that. And even a better person,” he said. “He told me to go out and have fun and just go with the flow. Whatever happens, happens.”
Trump has gained a following on social media, primarily through YouTube, and recently posted a video of her playing with her grandfather at Trump National Golf Club, Washington, DC, and the two attending the Ryder Cup.
“I just don’t look at it like he’s the president. I look at it like he’s my grandfather. We’ll go out and play golf,” Kai said in a recent interview with Pak Gazette Digital. “We play golf all the time. It’s nothing new.”

He also insists that his goal is to become a professional golfer.
“I’ll try to do it and do my best.”
