Madison Beer gets “bored” performing some of her old songs live.

The 26-year-old star “appreciates” being able to sing and highlighted Nothing Matters But You as one of her favorites to sing in front of an audience.

She told Rolling Stone magazine: “[Singing] It is my gift and what I appreciate most. I should feel that way with every song.”

“I won’t name names. I don’t want to be mean about any other songs, but there are a couple of songs that I would play and honestly I would get so bored and feel like I literally can’t do anything, like I’m essentially sleeping,” she said.

After earning praise for her live vocals, Madison was determined to challenge herself in the studio when it came to recording her upcoming third album, Locket, scheduled for release in January.

She said, “There’s one song that’s very vocally challenging.”

The Reckless hitmaker continued: “When I recorded this song and I was still on Twitter, I tweeted ‘OMG I literally don’t know if I’ll be able to talk for a week.’ That was a feeling I really enjoyed with this album.”

“I really liked my desire to push myself and see what I was capable of. So I hope people like the voices on this project because we spent a lot of time doing it,” Madison mentioned.

The bittersweet hitmaker admitted that performing live helped her gain perspective and also shut out her critics.

She said: “I get a fair amount of hate on the internet and I think all of that becomes irrelevant when you look at a sold-out crowd.”

“That’s been a very, very useful tool for me in my life. How could I let one tweet destroy my day when I’m performing for 5,000 people who bought tickets and know the music?” the singer showed me

While the Baby singer has yet to share Locket’s tracklist, she admitted that she had the album’s title in mind for a long time.

“I was in my Notes app for weeks writing words I related to. I kept gravitating toward [Locket] every time I read the list,” Madison Beer concluded.
