Carly Rae Jepsen celebrates her 40th birthday by acknowledging that life is just getting stranger from here.
The singer, who is currently expecting her first child with husband Cole MGN, took her birthday celebration to Instagram with photos from her day.
“Forty fabulous exclamation point. Important birthday,” he wrote. “If I’m doing my job right, things are going to get weirder from here on out. I plan to wear all the wild outfits, keep exploring music and art, and embrace this new chapter head-on (or sometimes with a furry hat).”
Jepsen toasted “more adventures, more amazing friendships, traveling with a baby, and more love all around,” adding that she couldn’t wait for what comes next.
Her photo carousel from Nov. 21 also included snaps of her wearing a fluffy white hat, a photo of her eating a candy apple as a child, shots of Cole, some flowers and her raspberry-covered vanilla birthday cake, and a cute video of the birthday card he left her in her hotel room.
