Prince William was just looking after Prince Harry when he asked him to hold his horses, an expert says.
The Prince of Wales did not want Harry to rush into his wedding to Meghan Markle and focus on building a relationship with her.
Royal expert Robert Jobson tells The Sun: “I think William, you know, like any brother, was probably just keeping an eye on him and saying, Do you think this is happening quite quickly?
“What do you really know about this girl? Shouldn’t you spend more time getting to know her?” Which got a bad reaction.
“He was very, very unhappy about it. He couldn’t reconcile himself to it.
“After that, it’s just been a gradual unraveling of the relationship. I was told that at Christmas, when Harry and Meghan moved in with William and Kate,” he added.
“Harry had complained to his brother that he wasn’t making enough fuss with Meghan, that he wasn’t rolling out the red carpet, that she didn’t feel very welcome.
“These were things that I and other journalists were picking up on at the time.
“Once things calmed down a little after the wedding, people who had been involved in the wedding, people who knew some of the most senior members of the royal family, told me that actually everything was not very well between Meghan and Harry and William and Kate,” the expert noted.
