Sarah Ferguson is heavily dependent on her eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, as she looks for a new place to live.
The former Duchess of York, who has been exiled from the Royal Lodge in Windsor, is now seeking to live with Beatrice.
A source told the Mail on Sunday: “Granny’s annex looks ready to move in now.
“It would be perfect for Fergie, wouldn’t it? All the masonry has been redecorated, the gutters have been renewed and the woodwork has been painted nicely. It has its own entrance.
“Precisely today the road was blocked for the delivery of propane gas cylinders for the annex building, coinciding with the first cold wave of the winter.
“So, clearly, someone’s arrival is imminent. It may not look like a big palace on the outside, but I bet it’s impressive on the inside,” he added.
