Jeremy Allen White is already preparing for another round in the kitchen.
In a new conversation with VarietyThe actor shared that the filming of season 5 of the bear It’s just around the corner.
When asked about the timeline, he responded that cameras will start rolling “January 5 or something like that. Very soon.”
Before heading to Santa Barbara for a free me from nothing During the screening and a talk hosted by Oprah Winfrey, White reflected on how he avoids falling into the kind of creative burnout he once experienced while working on Shameless.
He explained that his relationship with the bear It feels very different from the long-running series that helped launch his career.
He said that although Shameless was also a set, “I didn’t feel like it had the same weight as [William H. Macy or Emmy Rossum] did.”
White admitted that there were seasons when he felt closely connected to Philip Gallagher and others when he didn’t, something he attributes in part to his young age at the time.
“Those were very separate things, kind of a story that came to me when I was 18 and 19,” he said.
With the bearthat sense of connection seems deeper. White shared that he feels “really connected to Carmy” and has a personal bond with creator Christopher Storer, describing him as “a friend and a partner.”
That creative relationship, he suggested, helps make the work meaningful rather than exhausting.
As he prepares to return to Carmy’s world in just a few weeks, White’s comments make clear that his investment in the bear it is based not only on his success, but also on a sense of collaboration and trust that was not always present early in his career.
