- The OnePlus 15 has just been approved by the FCC in the US.
- That is the last step before it can be authorized for sale.
- Our OnePlus 15 review recently gave the flagship a rare five-star rating
Open our OnePlus 15 review and you’ll see that we gave the phone a rare score of five stars out of five – it’s easily one of our favorite phones of the year and it looks like it’s about to go on sale in the US too.
As discovered by Android Authority, the OnePlus 15 has now been approved by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC). That’s the last major step a device like this must take before it can go on sale.
The availability of the OnePlus 15 in the US has been promised since the smartphone was unveiled, so this doesn’t come as a surprise. But the recent US government shutdown meant paperwork for the OnePlus 15 was stuck in limbo.
US pricing will start at $899.99 for the black version of the OnePlus 15 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. So far, OnePlus has not released an official update, but we expect the smartphone to go on sale in the US very soon.
A five star phone
OnePlus has always made some of the best Android phones in the business, since the first one came out in April 2014. Our OnePlus One review is still online and you’ll see that we gave the phone 4.5 stars out of 5 at the time.
The OnePlus 15 that was launched earlier this year got full marks. We describe it as “better than perfect”, with performance, battery life and cameras exceptionally good three of the most important considerations when weighing a phone.
It has a design that looks good too: although it’s not as flashy as some of its rivals, it has its own understated charm. The OxygenOS software also continues to impress and is easily one of the best Android implementations out there.
Samsung tends to dominate when it comes to Android phone sales in the US, but we’re glad to see OnePlus continuing to release its phones in the region – the OnePlus 15 scored higher than the Samsung Galaxy S25 and the Google Pixel 10.
