Be attentive, supergirl fans, because the first trailer for the DC Universe (DCU) movie could be days away from receiving its world premiere.
With supergirl Set to release on June 26, 2026, there are less than seven months left, at press time, until it hits theaters. And, if we go by the appearance of a new X/Twitter account, its first preview could appear in early December.
In fact, the supergirl The trailer rumor was launched on November 26 when a new X/Twitter account, which has the handle @supergirl and goes by the name SupergirlFilm, suddenly appeared online (credit to DCUFilmNews for spotting it first).
As of this writing, the account has no profile picture or posts, nor has it been verified with a gold check to indicate that it is an official account. However, over 5,000 people follow her, and while no one following her is part of the cast and crew of the DCU movie, the timing of the account’s live status is quite significant.
Why is the first Supergirl trailer expected to arrive before the end of 2025?
Because there is less than a week until the 2025 edition of Brazil Comic-Con (CCXP), which this year will be held from December 4 to 7.
After San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), CCXP is possibly the most notable convention where comics giants make big announcements. Marvel and DC. Reveals at CCXP aren’t typically as big as those made at SDCC, but considering it’s the last event of its kind to take place each year, it’s the last time these industry titans are generating excitement for the projects they’ll be releasing in the coming months.

As confirmed by the previous X/Twitter post, which appeared on the Warner Bros. Brazil account, on November 18, DC will be present at CCXP 2025. Furthermore, the tweet suggests that DC will begin its promotional campaign for the film formerly known as Supergirl: the woman of tomorrow – find out why DCU co-director James Gunn wanted SupergirlThe name will be simplified, also at the event.
So what better way to kick off your months-long marketing campaign for one of the most exciting new movies of 2026 than to show off the first official images from said superhero movie? In my opinion, there isn’t one, and that’s why I’m more certain than ever that a trailer for the DCU Chapter One movie will be featured at CCXP 2025.
Well, if one is revealed at the aforementioned convention, it doesn’t mean that it will be released publicly at the same time as it premieres at CCXP. But, given that leaked footage of the trailer could appear online in the hours and/or days after its likely presentation, it would be in DC Studios’ best interest to release it. supergirlThe first preview online shortly after.
