A new NYT Strands puzzle appears at midnight every day for your time zone, which means some people are always playing “today’s game” while others play “yesterday’s.” If instead you are looking for the Friday puzzle then click here: NYT Strands Tips and Answers for Friday, November 28 (Game #635).

NYT Strands Today (Game #636): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game number 636 are…
- WHEEL
- PULLEY
- Axel
- SCREW
- LEVER
- CRADLE
- PLANE
- SPANGRAM: SIMPLE MACHINE
- My rating: Hard
- My score: Perfect
I didn’t use any hints today, but this game wasn’t easy at all.
This was due to two factors. The first was an unnecessarily long spangram (simply the word “machine parts” would have been more appropriate), which took me a long time to put together.
The second reason was that Strands always takes longer when you don’t know what you’re looking for. Anyway, going around the board I managed to find everything along with a lot of non-game words. Resisting turning them into tracks was my greatest achievement.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Friday, November 28, game #635)
- COIN
- FOUNTAIN
- LADYBUG
- STAR
- DANDELION
- EYELASH
- SPANGRAM: MAKEAWISH
