Ben Affleck spent his Thanksgiving holiday with family, joining Jennifer Garner and her kids for a warm family dinner in Los Angeles.
The two continue to prove that, even years after their separation, co-parenting is still a priority.
Affleck was photographed arriving at Garner’s home on Thursday with his son Samuel and mother, Chris Boldt.
According to a source who spoke with PEOPLEThis year’s celebration mirrored last year’s plans, with families gathering for the holiday.
“Ben and his mom bonded,” the source shared. “Jen makes it very special. She’s a great chef.”
The source added that Garner “also loves having her entire family together” and made it clear that “Ben is always welcome in her home.”
The former couple has worked hard to maintain a close and supportive relationship since their separation in 2015 and eventual divorce in 2018.
“Jen is his biggest cheerleader,” the source continued. “It took them years to get to this point, but Jen never gave up. And now everything is friendly and focused on the kids.”
Garner’s relationship with partner John Miller is also stable, according to the source.
Miller has “been incredibly patient and understanding with her family approach.” The source added that Garner is “happy” with the CaliBurger CEO, sharing, “He’s a great guy and treats Jen very well. She loves hanging out with him.”
Affleck and Garner share three children, Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13.
Last month, Affleck showed his appreciation for the way they co-parented during the kiss of the spider woman premiere, saying: “I couldn’t be more proud of my children, I can’t even tell them that. I’m very lucky to have a great partner and we have fantastic children. It’s the joy of my life, and I’m very, very lucky. It makes me happy every day.”
Meanwhile, Affleck’s relationship with Jennifer Lopez appears to be over for good after they finalized their divorce in January, despite the two sharing a friendly moment at the same premiere.
