New AirDrop feature on Google Pixel 10 is buggy for some users

  • Google recently made Android work with Apple AirDrop
  • Some users experience Wi-Fi related errors
  • For now, the feature is limited to Pixel 10 series phones.

We were very happy and more than a little surprised when Google announced that it had gotten AirDrop working on the Pixel 10 phones, without Apple’s help, but it seems like the new feature isn’t working as well as it should for some users.

According to reports compiled by PiunikaWeb (via Android Central), the update is causing notable Wi-Fi connectivity issues. Apparently, as soon as you open the Quick Share menu on Android, the Wi-Fi turns off and the device cannot see any networks.
