The Constitution contains provisions on governor’s rule, but no one has spoken to me about this issue, says KP governor

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has rejected reports that the federal government is preparing to impose governor’s rule in the province, saying he has not been consulted on the matter.
“I am hearing through the media that the governor’s rule is being imposed. Till today, I maintain that there is no talk of the governor’s rule for now,” Faisal Karim Kundi said while talking to reporters in Peshawar on Sunday.
The governor confirmed that although the Constitution establishes a clause to impose the governor’s rule, no official communication has been made with him so far. “The Constitution contains a provision for government by the governor, but no one has spoken to me,” he said.
Kundi added that the current situation in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) left no room for widespread protests, given the fragile security and administrative challenges.
“I believe that the conditions of our province do not allow for protests. The province is already burdened with problems, including law and order,” he said.
