NYT Strands Today (Game #638): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game #638 are…
- ROLLER SKATES
- DISK
- STICKS
- GOALS
- MARKER
- ZAMBONI
- SPANGRAM: HOCKEY COURT
- My rating: Hard
- My score: Perfect
As for the theme, my first thought was SKATES, but it wasn’t until I got PUCK that I realized this was a hockey-themed quest.
After getting the answers for STICKS and GOALS, I reached the limit of my hockey knowledge, but luckily I got the SCOREBOARD. This just came from ZAMBONI, a word that I had not heard until today, but that I later learned is the brand of the machine that cleans the track.
I had thought my dreams of participating in professional sports were over, but now that I know the job of zamboni driver exists…although as someone who has trouble with reverse parking, I’m not sure I qualify.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Sunday, November 30, game #637)
- LIONS
- ANTS
- GEESE
- CATTLE
- PRIDE
- HERD
- ARMY
- HERD
- SPANGRAM: INITTOGETHER
